My friend queer Jewish author Shira Glassman

"Part of a piece of artwork drawn by Mina and inked by Jane, representing the character Rivka and her Dragon."

My friend Shira Glassman now has a Facebook Author page, and blog!  Queerness and Judaism and dragons, huzzah!

One of her claims to fame* is that she did a great deal to help me finally realize and actualize myself as an ally and admirer of fat people (*or infamy, depending on your point of view, heh).

"Queer Jewish feminist author, focusing on things like a modern, feminist, pagan-ish twist on Judaism; navigating food allergies and intolerances; people of all sexual orientations getting along together, and….um….dragons.

Shira Glassman lives in North Central Florida with a labor activist and a misbehaving calico. She has written two fantasy novels with a lesbian protagonist, the first of which is due to be published by Prizm Books at the end of summer 2013."
